Hebrews 13:1-6

Brotherly Love is More Than Words!

Dear Friends,

Thank the Lord and sing His praise tell everyone what He had done for us this week.

A special thank you to those who responded to Monday’s email invitation to help me choose this Sunday’s text for our meditation. The first six verses from Hebrews were unanimously identified as the portion of God’s Word that we should consider.

So, this Sunday we will reflect on living our faith courageously, even in difficult times, much like the saints before us. We can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

Our epistle today highlights putting faith into action through “brotherly love.” This signifies that as Christians, we are part of God’s family and are called to love one another uniquely, fostering closeness and mutual care.

Let us also consider the importance of humility in understanding our God-given roles. Pride fundamentally misunderstands our divine assignments and manifests when we see ourselves as more significant than we are.

Conversely, humility means recognizing and accepting our proper place within God’s providence, faithfully embracing who we are and fulfilling God’s call—nothing more, nothing less.

This message is particularly relevant today, as we often see individuals stepping outside their God-given roles due to pride, believing they deserve a higher standing.

This message aims to help you understand and more fully believe in the method and outcome of God’s saving plan for you.
